Johnny
Question
Describe a person who made you laugh happily when you were a child.
You should say:
Who this person is?
What this person did to make you laugh?
Why this person made you laugh?
And how you felt about it?
Answer
Looking back onmy life, I can tell you that my uncle was the one who always made me laugh heartilyevery time we hung out. My uncle is a man with a great sense of humor, and you've got to hand it tohim that he really knows a lot of jokes. Whenever he gathered togetherwith our family, he never failed to crack me upwith those hilariousjokes. As forwhat jokes were the most side-splitting, I may not be able to tell you off the top of my headsimply because it's long time ago. The only thing I know is that my uncle is a man who has a larger-than-life styleand he has a great sense of humor. He didn't bend over backwardsto please me in order to get something in return. He just did that for pleasure, and I think by doing so, he also derived a lot of pleasure fromit. Happiness is highly contagious. I think that's why he never ceases toamaze me with his interesting jokes. Of course sometimes when my mom wasn't listening, he would tell me some off-color jokesand told me that was between us and we were in stitches. I always enjoy his companyand now I think about it, I do miss the good old days we had. Life is not a bed of rosesnow because I have a heavy workloadat school / work. I think I may also need to read some online jokes so that next time I can make my friends split their sides laughing.

It has white body and black eyes或者It's cute之外,几乎没有区别于其他同学的内容。
A Historical Event
A Historical Event
Describe a historical event from your country.
You should say:
what the event was
when and where it happened
how you learnt about this event
and explain why you remember this event so well.
Part3
Traditions
Do you think the traditions in your country (or culture) are changing (or, have changed)?
Do you think traditions should be preserved, unchanged, or is there some value in changing traditions?
What do you think is the value of traditions?
Do you think old people think about traditions (or, value traditions) more than young people do?
How will you teach your (cultural) traditions to your children?
I enjoy every minute of it,或者说It suits me。
I'm deeply/strongly concerned about _______这个句型来谈某个问题,表示出你对此的担忧。

Describe something that can help you concentrate on work/study
You should say:
How does it help you
What do you think about it
I am kind of slovenly if I am over-burdened in work or study. So, how could I solve this problem? Well, that’s a question that has lingered in my head for quite a few days until a friend of mine introduced me this finger gyroscope.
At first sight, I didn’t think this little thing would really work. It might be just another childish tool that could only fool those kids. ?Well, when he pinched it and blown it hard, the wings in the gyroscope began running. This article is from Laokaoya website. Do not copy or repost it. And what’s amazed me was that it kept rotating for a long time, it seemed to go non-stop. All my eyebrows?were attracted by this little instrument.
What played magically here was that my focus became sharp each time I?played it for a while. So, it was this thing that really helped me out during my preparation for the term paper.
I felt quite interested in this precise instrument. How could such a thing help us concentrate on our study? Well, it did. Maybe we are being too fickle in this society. The longer time it keeps running, the more curiosity we have in our mind. This little thing has managed to make us feel that being curious could be used to better focus on and finish a single task each time.

What do you need to be focused?
Well, first, I need to be in good physical condition. You know, I couldn’t make the most of my energy to concentrate on something without having a good sleep. Also, to keep focused, I have to learn to develop my personal motivation. I cannot focus on something I don’t have an interest in.
What may distract you when you are trying to stay focused?
Some constant loud noises can distract me. For example, a sharp sound would make me feel uncomfortable and miss the words from the lecturer. Also, this article is from Laokaoya website, if some unhappy things happened before I try to focus on something, I would get trapped in a sad feeling resulted from that disamenity.
What do you do to help you concentrate?
Normally, if something is about to distract me, I would just focus on the work I am having and try to stop thinking about anything unrelated to my work. I find this extremely effective. You know, sometimes it’s just the curiosity that distracts us. So, trying to let go would save me.
Is it difficult for you to stay focused on something?
Yes, it is. It takes much patience to keep focused on something. I remember there’s a history class that I was taking that made me feel extremely painful. Our teacher was speaking in a monotone, and there were some car horns coming in from the street near our building. I just felt so difficult to simmer down and hardly listened to my teacher’s lecture.

The thing I do that helps me stay focused is meditation.
I used to be the kind of person who gets distracted easily. For example, when I was working, I would be attracted by the water cooler conversation my colleagues were having. And when I was searching for some information on the Internet, a pop-up advertisement could stop me working for a while.
I’d been having a hard time concentrating until one day, I watched a TED talk about meditation. What I remember most from the talk is, the speaker said, our brain is our most valuable resource, and yet we don't take any time out to look after it. And that really hit me. I was like, maybe that’s the reason why I couldn’t focus, I mean, I never gave my brain any rest, it’s always working. So I decided to give this meditation thing a shot, and that’s when I had this incredible, refreshing experience. Most people assume that meditation is all about stopping thoughts, getting rid of emotions, somehow controlling the mind, but actually it’s much different than that. It’s more about stepping back, seeing the thought clearly with a relaxed, focus mind. This practice is a good way to recharge and relieve stress, you know, just like our body, our brain also needs a break to get back the strength and energy.
I do it on a daily basis, every day before I go to bed. And now I’m getting better and better at maintaining concentration.

I’ve never seen a person could be brilliant yet with perseverance at the same time in my friend circle, except for Regina Liaksa, who was my previous manager when I did my internship in an international project company in the Netherlands. At the moment I met her, I was impressed with her fine language using and clear logic of the company working process. Later when we got chances to work together, I gradually got the idea that she was so steady during the working hours in the company but so passionate about all kinds of sports games, culinary art and even oil painting in her rest time.
Back to the days, We had to work for 8 hours from Monday to Friday every week and when our business was booming in our peak season, she was the one who needed to have at least 10 hours overtime working on the site and handled all the project final check, loads of contracts and contacts with various partners in business. Yet she was managed to sign up the culinary school and had cooking lessons twice a week, 4 days at gym for yoga and boxing lessons and once a weekend to go on a picnic with her family in the national park nearby her house.
She is just like a superwoman to me, cuz I for one was exhausted by the complicated steps of making contracts for work, all I wanted to do in my day-off was to sleep for 12 hours and went out for clubbing, shaking off the stress of me and restored to welcome the next week chaos in work. Plus, she did gained the practical skills like cooking or how to draw mimic paintings like sunflowers, which was once drawn by one of her favorite painter, Mr Van Gogh. It almost felt like she didn’t need time to sleep but she could still be energetic to manage all her work and private life. I wish I could have this kind of ability as well from time to time so I wouldn’t be resentful for my waste of time for sleeping that much.
